Why coaching?
Moving into positions with new supervisory or oversight functions can be tricky and create some anxiety. Many workplaces are great at equipping first time leaders with formal training as well as comprehensive policy and procedures documents.
But you may need something more.
Why Integral Coaching?
Personal change and development lie at the heart of all coaching methods. Integral Coaching is a systematic approach to change, bringing about change and pursuing change that is whole, complete and integrated. An Integral approach brings about change that endures over time, beyond the coaching contract.
What to expect
The coaching process begins with a free exploratory call to figure out whether what I can offer would fit your needs.
If you choose to engage with a coaching program, we will schedule a longer initial session to fully explore the topic you bring forward - one that deeply matters to you.
After that initial session, I will offer you a coaching program that can vary in length but will typically span one-hour sessions every 2 weeks or so over 3-6 months. It might be longer but in order to be effective, the program will be at least 6 sessions.
This customized coaching program is tailored to meet you where you are at and takes you through cycles of development that progressively enable you to make meaningful progress on your topic.
What is required of you
Sessions can be held in-person (in Toronto) or online on the Zoom platform. In-person sessions are held at the Centre for Social Innovation (Bathurst/Bloor or Spadina/Queen locations)
"Nicci was thoughtful in her approach to helping me build the confidence I needed to conquer my fears and stand up to the challenge."
"Working with Nicci gave me tools and practices to overcome blockages that were keeping me stuck."
As a non-profit Executive Director or Board Chair, you may want individually tailored support and advice through ad hoc management consultation sessions with experienced non-profit leaders.
Topics include, but are not limited to:
"Working with you has been so helpful in changing my approach/way of thinking and I can feel a number of doors opening as a result."
Leading a non-profit, mission-driven organisation is a balancing act. In challenging times, the most resilient non-profits are those that are creative and nimble with a strong foundation of governance.
Specializing in small and medium sized non-profits and mission-driven groups, we can guide you through comprehensive assessment, planning and implementation of a range of services essential for an organisation to thrive.
With over 30 years' experience leading small and medium sized organisations, we offer support and training for:
"Thank you for all the support you have given us over the past year. We are very grateful to have you in our community."
Sometimes you'd prefer to have an external facilitator lead you through an event, meeting or a process to help it flow smoothly. It allows the staff and leaders of the organisation to fully participate in the discussion without having to also take on the responsibilities of facilitation.
We will meet with you to figure out your needs and offer a service that is tailor-made for your situation.
In some cases, we step in and facilitate an already-planned meeting. In other cases we work with you to develop the meeting/event agenda, discuss the possible dynamics of the meeting and offer a structure that works best for your desired outcomes.
We offer facilitation and co-facilitation of small, medium and large meetings of events. We can facilitate team meetings or retreats as well as larger publicly attended events.
" We had a great experience working with you this year and hope that our paths will cross again!"
